Kostis Kontogeorgos is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Athens, Greece. His work spans mixed media installations, fiction and documentary films, video, web series, drag show, and drawings. Drawing inspiration from his studies in fine art, cinema and social anthropology, his practice investigates discourses of power in relation to gender and society, while challenging representations of the body in art and media. Selected group exhibitions and screenings include: Theorimata 3: Body, A Field of Competition (2023), organized by AICA Hellas, Athens Digital Arts Festival (2023), Queer Archive Festival #3 (2022), with the support of Onassis Stegi, Platforms Project (2021), Athens Video Dance Project (2020).
In 2021, he founded the community art project Future Myth N.P.O., an initiative that blends art, technology, and social activism to support vulnerable social groups and create spaces for dialogue and reflection on the evolving myths of our time.
